Let’s Roll

To celebrate Motorcycle Safety Awareness month, we’re sharing some of our favorite rides across the U.S. – perfect for a quick summer getaway. On our list you’ll find everything from relaxing cruises to winding tests of courage, and everything in between.

The Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), California

This is probably one of the most iconic routes because of it’s perfect climate and all around scenic views. On this ride you’ll see it all: waves, redwood forests, and plenty of beach wildlife. Running more than 600 miles with plenty of curves to keep you cruising, the PCH is perfect for those looking for a truly California experience.

Needles Highway, South Dakota

You’ve probably heard of the Sturgis motorcycle rally, one of the biggest in the U.S. – this is the scenic route traveled by almost 300,000 Sturgis riders each year. This cruise is perfect for intermediate riders looking for a bit of adventure and some historical landmarks, including Mount Rushmore.

Peak to Peak Highway, Colorado

This ride is only 60 miles long, but holds some of the best twists and turns on our list. You’ll get to enjoy the majestic Rocky Mountains, along with luscious forests and alpine meadows. We recommend you go in the springtime when the colors explode across the landscape and the moose and elk pepper the hillside.

Tail of the Dragon, North Carolina – Tennessee

This ride is not for the faint of cornering. Probably the most difficult ride on our list, this turn-a-palooza holds more than 300 tight curves in just 11 miles. Not only is this route beautiful and famous from movies and TV, it’s a completely unforgettable experience.

Beartooth Highway, Montana – Wyoming

This has everything you want in a memorable ride – turns, roller coaster up and downs, beautiful views, plus it ends at the northern gateway to Yellowstone National Park. This 68-mile stretch of U.S. highway 212 is the highest elevated paved road in the northern Rocky Mountains. It cuts through Custer and Shoshone National Forests with views of snow-capped summits, alpine meadows, wildlife, and so much more.

Northwest Passage Scenic Byway, Idaho – Montana – Washington

Following the same exact passage originally taken by Lewis & Clark, this ride can transport you back in time to when the Wild West was just a dream. At 202 miles, you’re sure to find all you’re looking for in a two-wheeled adventure including scenic overlooks, fresh air and a peek backwards into history.

These are just a few of the amazing routes and rides that cross our country. But, wherever your next moto-venture takes you, you’ll need to make sure you’re protected and ready for anything. That includes having the right insurance. At Acceptance, we offer affordable rates on motorcycle insurance, so you can keep gas in your tank.
